MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday detained religious leader Apollo Quiboloy has completed a series of medical tests at the Philippine Heart Center.

According to PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Quiboloy underwent a CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, stress test, 2D echocardiogram and blood tests, with initial findings expected soon.

“We are waiting for the initial findings. I understand that a medical abstract has already been released by the Heart Center, but I am not at liberty to disclose it due to doctor-patient confidentiality,” Fajardo said during a press briefing at Camp Crame.

Quiboloy’s legal counsel had previously disputed reports that his health condition was life-threatening.

“If I may recall, I only quoted from the PNP General Hospital report stating he had an irregular heartbeat, which might be a concern, particularly given his prior heart procedures,” Fajardo clarified.

She added their side has emphasized that his condition is not life-threatening, so there is no basis for their request for hospital arrest.

Fajardo explained that the PNP General Hospital recommended further testing for Quiboloy, particularly a Holter monitor, which the facility cannot provide.

“The PNP has complied with the court order granting his urgent motion for additional testing at the Heart Center,” she said.

Quiboloy’s temporary stay at the Heart Center is permitted until Nov. 15casino frenzy, allowing him to complete all necessary medical procedures.
